Cyber Security Awareness Month
Security threats constantly change and evolve. At The Office People™, we remain vigilant in fighting cybercrime by offering the most secure and state of the art products while sharing educational resources to protect your organization's personal information.
#BeCyberSmart during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and beyond with these tips from The Office People™:
Purchase document imaging systems, conferencing, and audiovisual equipment from a reputable partner.
Close unused ports and disable unneeded network services and protocols.
Prepare for cyber attacks on a quarterly basis. Seven out of ten organizations fail the cyber readiness test that examines strategy, quality, and execution.
Don't think you're not the target. Nearly half of all cyberattacks are committed against small businesses.
Create strong, unique passphrases.
Use multi-factor authentication like text and email notifications or biometric identification.
Stop and think before clicking links or opening attachments in emails, instant messages, and online posts. Don't open emails requesting sensitive information. Legit companies don’t request your sensitive information via email.
Update your devices with the latest security software, firmware, web browser, and operating systems.
Avoid using public computers and Wi-Fi networks for private or financial matters.
